Learning to Let it All Flow

[Amsterdam, 12th of January 2022]

Do I wait for inspiration to come or do I  just go dig into it?

Go find it and meet it.

Sometimes it comes and sometimes it doesn’t. And I am sure it has been here most times and I couldn’t even feel it. How do I recognize it? How do I grab it?

It´s like acting you know, you just need to trust your weirdness. You need to trust your body and all its realness. And then at some point, you will know you are not even playing anymore. You are showing yourself, your complexity and imperfections, and hoping that the world will be OK with it. You don’t have time to ask too many questions. It just comes.

It comes as it wants. Of course, you have a say in it. It´s your mind and body. But you just let it flow through you. It grabs you. You don’t grab it. It takes you. You don’t take it.

Don’t question how it comes. That´s what´s happening. It is coming. Don’t question the form, just let it flow. Let it flow through you. That´s your only job. That´s all you are meant to do.

And you know that already because this has been answered to you many times. You wrote it down, you typed it down. The only problem often in those moments of creative flow is that you question what comes to you. The form and the content. You want to control it. And already you anticipate its effect. How it will do on the marketplace. All the accolades you will get. How it will make you a star. Finally, they will know. You are smart!! It was about time, huh?

So, now you have it.

You might fail at it again tomorrow. You might lose it again tomorrow. You might not remember all that tomorrow. And that´s fine. Just know that it´s always there. It is really just always there.

Don’t try to control it, cause you will then lose it.

Let it flow. Again, let it all flow.

Everything is connected. I know that sometimes you question the way things come to you. One idea and then another, so completely different. How do they even coexist together? How could they? How do you blend them together and produce a well-written piece – according to the market that you have created in your mind -magical beautiful creation that connects with others and the world?

Well, darling, everything is connected. Everything about you comes in multitudes of variations. Your expression. Your skin. Everything, Everything about you is creation and creativity and different. Everything about you even seems in contradiction because the whole world seems in contradiction. The whole world is in a constant clash. And yet, it still moves and everyone finds a piece of themselves here and there. So let them come, those ideas. However, they want to come. Whenever they want to come. Trust the process. And remember that, you are not in charge. What is asked of you is to sit there and write.

Yes – sit there and write.

So, to whom am I talking?

To me. Me – the signature of all things. Everything. It´s me.

Am I making this up?

Maybe you are. We will never know. I know what you think – that´s the same answer I have given to others including this guy who wrote conversation with God.

Is that what’s happening to me too?

Well, always. I thought you knew by now.

So, what is it going to be? Is this one on one strictly a one-on-one, to never share with the world? Or is it also for others?

I don’t know really. I think you can choose, but knowing you, you might as well share it. Why not. What I am saying is not new anyway. It´s been there everywhere. All along. All these millennials. We are not going to reinvent the wheel here.

Just express things your way. Differently. Truthfully as your spirit and soul digest them.

Wow. I wrote a lot.

We wrote a lot. That´s how it goes. From I to WE. That´s what you are learning here. To do your magic, you need me. It´s a dance my darling. We are dancing. Isn’t it fun?

It is. It makes me smile.

I love that. You are. Not just from your face, you are smiling from your heart too. I see it and feel it.

You are and it´s great. That´s what this exercise is all about. Just continue to trust yourself and show up to your destiny. Because this is all part of your destiny and there is no wrong or right. You are doing you. You are living life. You are growing and learning. You are. And I love you. I am always here for you. Knock on the door and I will be right there.

Your grandma is here. Your aunt and fathers. Everyone is here, cheering up for you. You are so so loved. So loved. And there is nothing you cannot do. You know that already.

Meet me here, whenever you chose to. Whenever you make space for it. Whenever you feel like it.

This is your homework.

This is your growth project.

Write whatever comes to your mind. Whatever feels natural to you and do not question it. Let your hands and your heart guide you.

You can erase words. You can hesitate about the direction but just trust. Everything will come full circle nonetheless.
